We offer specialized counseling services to help couples build stronger, healthier, and more loving relationships.
Each provider on our team has different areas of expertise, for which they have been trained to provide specialized services. Some of our specialty areas include:
Resolving Conflict and Communication Differences
Enhancing Intimacy, Understanding, and Connection
Overcoming Challenges, like Infidelity and Parenting
Even with the most meant-to-be partner, you may run into some challenges that are helpful to sort out with someone who is not biased to either side. Some couples even go to therapy together to prevent bigger issues from occurring! There’s no shame in getting a little extra help to make your relationship the best it can be.
By having a mutual third party present, who is experienced in working with couples, you and your partner can begin productively sorting out your areas of conflict and finding solutions best suited for your future together.
We encourage each partner to use this opportunity to learn more about themselves and what they may be bringing to the relationship, from childhood or previous relationships, without even realizing it. By going through this mental work, you and your partner can truly learn the ins and outs of how to function as a unit amidst your various differences.
Therapy is less intimidating than it may seem! Therapy first starts with a simple phone call to briefly discuss your needs, insurance/payment information, and set an in-person or virtual appointment that fits your current schedule. At your first appointment, we review standard paperwork and basic background information. Then, we discuss what brought you to therapy and clarify what you hope to work on. This session also helps with getting to know each other to make the environment as comfortable as possible to share your concerns.
By the end of the first session, we’ll identify something you can start to work on to already get you a step closer to your goals. Future sessions will typically once weekly for 50 minutes, with each session designed to meet your needs at that time. Keep in mind that therapy is not a binding contract; the first session is designed to give you a better idea of whether this is the right space for you at this time of your life. You’ll get a feel for how we can help you and whether you’d like to continue to move forward. For that reason, we encourage anyone struggling with their mental health to at least try out a session and go from there.
