As the founder of Strengths and Solutions, I am committed to healing and advocating for my community. I specialize in therapy for anxiety, depression, and stress management, as well as assessments for learning disabilities, ADHD, and giftedness.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist, Speaker, and Consultant. Combining my expertise in assessment and therapy, I founded Strengths and Solutions, where I provide comprehensive psychological services in-office at in Hallandale Beach and throughout the state of Florida via telehealth. Through my extensive coursework, clinical rotations, and postdoctoral employment, I received specialized training and years of experience in therapy for adults. I am skilled at using strengths-based and solutions-focused approaches to enhance clarity and positive outlook in the wake of difficult adjustment and life challenges. I specialize in treating anxiety and depression using scientifically researched methods that are evidenced to result in long-term change and improved mental health.
I have also honed in on my passion and specialty of assessment of children and adults with learning disabilities, ADHD, giftedness, intellectual delays, and mood disorders. My history of adapting to diverse work settings, including schools, hospitals, and community clinics, with clients of various backgrounds has enhanced my ability to develop tailored recommendations to meet each of my clients’ needs. I am additionally experienced in providing documentation needed for clients seeking accommodations or services. For psychological evaluations, I have also collaborated with Individualized Education Plan (IEP) teams, the Department of Children and Families (DCF), and multidisciplinary practitioners, such as occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, and psychiatrists, to advocate for the well-being of my clients and the effective implementation of my reports’ recommendations.
Academically, I culminated my education at the renowned Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP) at Rutgers University. There, I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, with a concentration in Multicultural Psychology. I additionally hold a Master of Psychology degree from this same institution. During my time at GSAPP, I taught psychological assessment to other students in the field, and presented research studies at regional and national conferences. Prior to then, I earned a Master of Science in Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida and became certified as a Health Education Specialist. I graduated cum laude from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a minor in Education.
I have been featured in various online publications and am available for speaking engagements about mental health matters in the community, including, but not limited to, anxiety/depression, wellness and therapy, parenting skills, and learning differences. I additionally provide consultation for therapists and testing psychologists who wish to begin their journey into private practice. I accept the following insurances for therapy services. Before we meet together, please double check with your insurance to receive your estimated copay amount. Unfortunately, I am unable to accept any Medicare/Medicaid or EAP plans.
Therapy
We can meet together via private pay at my current rate of $200 per session. I accept credit/debit, health savings account (HSA) cards, and flexible savings account (FSA) cards. If you have out-of-network benefits with your insurance, I'd be happy to complete documentation for you to be reimbursed for your payments.
Assessment
My rates for assessment are as follows. For psychological/psychoeducational evaluations, I am happy to collaborate on a flexible payment plan, as needed.
